Very strong and to the point. What ever happened to the days whe nwe taught people, treat others as you would want to be treated. Where did we, men, make it about us. Why is it so difficult to just go to the store, and not think about things you are getting but how to get there safely, and not be harassed. I trust more women with leadership and my safety over any guy. In the military, The females I knew did their jobs as well or better than any guy. I trusted them over any guy i knew and still do. Everywhere I worked, I saw women do better than any guy. Why is it this way, I really wish I knew. I am here to learn and understand. To be better man, person to women and everyone. I know many can, I wish, I just pray.

This is so important and the kind of thing that I needed to read. Made me almost cry but in a I don't know how I can stand witnessing us be treated like this any more that it makes me angry kind of way.

This is really well written! I like how it has the energy of a notes app rant you'd send to a friend (read : passionate and raw) while at the same time being very coherent and direct. It's also not "on trend" to be deeply invested in societal inequalities now (interesting how all the it-girls are chill and apolitical...) so I salute you for this one! Good job :)

thank you so much, such a lovely compliment (and definitely the product of a notes app rant or two)

Your line about whole states being endorsed makes me think of the Olympics. What better way to incite the right wing than to use nationalism? I also appreciate the truth you’re highlighting when discussing intelligence and correctness. Thanks for writing this

I continue to read pieces like this because I can’t be apathetic. I can’t not care. I need to know more. To be conscious of the effects of the system I was born into. Because if I know more then I can be more. I can choose to be better than I was taught to be. This ended up rant-adjacent. Thanks for the piece; it’s amazing.
